Arlene Elizabeth Gaston

Arlene Elizabeth (Crossway) Gaston, 94, of Vernon, beloved wife of the late Ralph T. Gaston, passed away Monday (November 28, 2016) at Vernon Manor. She was born in Torrington, the daughter of Howard and Lena (Woodman) Crossway. She worked as an inspector for the US Civil Service. Arlene was a loving and devoted, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed spending her winters in Florida. Arlene leaves behind a son, William H. Gaston of Vernon; a daughter, Jean E. Litwinas and her husband Harold of Coventry; five grandchildren, Joseph H. Litwinas, Janice A. Litwinas, Emily Gaston, Melody Milner and her husband Justin, and Elizabeth Gaston; four great grandchildren, Mariah Laboy, Hannah Gaston, Kaile Milner and Landon Milner. She also leaves several nieces and nephews and her good friend George Hansen. She was predeceased by her brother, Francis Crossway. Arlene touched the hearts of so many, she will be missed dearly. A funeral service will be held on Friday (December 2, 2016) 11 AM in the Rose Hill Funeral Home 580 Elm St. Rocky Hill. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Thursday ( December 1, 2016) from 5 to 7 PM.
