Barbara Ann Burkhart

Barbara Ann (Tracy) Burkhart, age 83, passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2022. Born on May 21,1938 in Lincoln, New Hampshire to Myron and Ruth (Gordon) Tracy, Barbara was raised in Rocky Hill, CT and graduated from Wethersfield High School in 1956. She married Lawrence W. Burkhart on May 19,1961 at St. James Church in Rocky Hill and raised their children in Cromwell, CT. Barbara is survived by her son, Jeffrey Burkhart, his wife Anne of Cromwell; her daughter, Patricia O’Neill, her husband David of Cromwell; six grandchildren, Kevin Burns, his wife Abby, Matthew Burns, Cassandra O’Neill, Brittany Botteicher, her husband Von, Tyler Burkhart, Colin Burkhart, and two great grandchildren Callihan and Connor Burns. Barbara was predeceased by her parents, Myron and Ruth (Gordon) Tracy, and two brothers, Myron Tracy Jr., his wife Virginia, and Richard Tracy. Barbara lived for many years in Franklin, NH on Webster Lake. Artistically inclined, she enjoyed dancing and ice skating in her youth and painting in her later years. She shared her artistic talents with her children and fostered their talents throughout her life. In her later years, she continued watching ice skating and, being a lifelong Red Sox fan, especially enjoyed baseball on TV. She will be missed by all of us. Rest in peace, Mom.
