Candace M. Sturm, 70, formerly of New Britain, was called to heaven in the early morning hours of Sunday, April 2, 2017 in the comfort of her home in Kensington. Candy was born on February 1, 1947 to the late Edward and the late Louise (Pelegrino) Renock and lived in New Britain throughout most of her life. She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years John E Sturm of Kensington, two sons, Keith Klemonski and his wife Irene of East Hampton and Kevin Klemonski and his wife Elizabeth of Hebron, a daughter Hope Schilling and her fiancé Gaetano Nino DiPietro of Newington, eight grandchildren: Jenna, Dan, Lauren, Ryan, Brielle, and Cody Klemonski, Andrew and Gracie Schilling, and a great granddaughter, Brooke; a sister Kimberly Bell, a brother Mark Renock, several nieces and nephews, and an extended family of cousins. She is predeceased by her parents, her mother-in-law Sophie Sturm, her brother-in-law Norbert Sturm, and a grandson Kevin Klemonski Jr. Candy's family meant everything to her, she was passionate about spending time with them, especially her grandchildren who were the joys of her life and brightened her world. Her husband John was her true love, her never ending support, and her soulmate. She taught her children to love, be compassionate and humble, and to live life to the fullest. She was extremely proud of each of them. Candy was a member of the Polish American Club, Kensington, and was very happy to be part of her dance family at Dance Legacy, Berlin. She was always there for everyone and loved to help whenever she could. She had a great big personality filled with spunk, humor and love. She gave being wife, mom, grandma, auntie, sister, and cousin all that she had every day. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Calling hours will be Sunday, April 9, 2017 from 2 to 4 PM at the Rose Hill Funeral Home, 580 Elm St. Rocky Hill. Funeral will begin on Monday, April 10, 2017 at 9 AM from the Rose Hill Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Church in Newington. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill. Candace loved the color purple, so in her honor, feel free to include purple in your attire.
