Corrine Dorothy (Rogers) Adolewski, 96, of Kensington, loving wife of the late Joseph A. Adolewski, Sr., passed away peacefully on April 1, 2021 at Hospital of Central CT in New Britain from complications of ALZ/Dementia. She was born in New Britain, the daughter of the late Frank and Elizabeth (Axelby) Rogers. Corrine was a resident of New Britain before moving to Kensington in 1949 to the home her beloved husband, Joseph built, where she lived for 72 years. She was a graduate of New Britain High School class of 1942. She was employed as a supervisor at Fafnir Bearing during WWII. She was a member of St. Mark's Church and a past member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 511 in New Britain. Corrine channeled her energy into many activities; she was an avid gardener, she loved music, singing, playing her organ, playing cards, crossword and word search puzzles, cryptograms, reading, knitting, writing poems, and most of all writing a memoir of her life. She was also very family oriented and enjoyed gatherings with her brother, nieces, and nephews. She is survived by two children, a daughter Judith and husband Bob Lentini; a son, Joseph A. Adolewski, Jr.; three grandchildren, Lisa Lentini and her fiancé Michael Maldonado, Nicholas Adolewski, and Jessica Falero; a wonderful great grandson, Maximus Maldonado; a brother Frank Rogers and many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by nine brothers and sisters and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Corrine's family would like thank the nurses and staff of Hospital of Central CT., and the Hartford Healthcare Hospice nurses for their most compassionate care and concern during her brief stay. A special thanks to her attentive cardiologist Dr. James St. Pierre who prolonged her quality of life and also a special thank you to her companion and caregiver, Kim Amato for her dedicated, loving care, and especially for the strawberry ice cream sundaes. A calling hour will be held on Thursday (April 8, 2021) from 10 to 11 AM in the Rose Hill Funeral Home, 580 Elm St. Rocky Hill, Services and burial will follow at 11 AM.
