It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Frank Tornaquindici, 85. Frank Tornaquindici started working in the grocery business at the age of 15, then opened his own supermarket chain, in the early 70’s in the Hartford area, Frank's Supermarkets. His giving and kindness was reflected in his stores being called “the stores with a heart,” and his optimism and love for people was obvious. He had the privilege of joining Wakefern ShopRIte as a Member in the early 90’s. Meeting David Silverberg and Bill Noto was the start of an amazing friendship that brought the Tornaquindicis into the Wakefern Family. Wakefern was a remarkable fit that allowed ShopRite to handle the Products and let Frank to do what he loved best- serving his customers and forming lasting friendships!
