James Castellassi

October 15, 1941 - August 30, 2019

James D. Castellassi, beloved husband to Donna (Listro) Castellassi, passed away peacefully at the age of 77 at Middlesex Hospital. James was a Vietnam veteran serving in the 716th MP Battalion in Vietnam, enlisting in Nov, 1963 and honorably discharged in 1965. He was a district manager for Pinkerton Security and also in security at Seabury in Bloomfield. He enjoyed many years of vacationing with Donna in Florida and seeing one of his best friends Larry Freidman. Besides his loving wife Donna, he is survived by his 3 sisters, Florence Borelli of Cromwell, Gerri Pavlock and husband Mike of Virginia, and Dolores Fournier of Windsor. He also leaves Donna’s sister Joan Pirrotta and her husband Paul. He treasured all of his nephews, nieces, great nieces and nephews. James had two special friends, Cathy & Bob Malecki, which he and Donna spent wonderful vacations together. The family would like to give special thanks to Middlesex Hospital Hospice Unit for their loving and compassionate care. There will be a calling hour on Monday Sept. 9th from 11am-12pm at Rose Hill Funeral Home 580 Elm St. Rocky Hill, CT, followed by a graveside service with military honors at Noon in Rose Hill Memorial Park.
