Marvin Glenn Westerman

January 1, 1947 - March 17, 2021

Marvin Glenn Westerman beloved husband of Barbara (Muszynski) passed away gently after a long illness on March 17, 2021 with his loving family and constant companion grand dog Minnie by his side. He was born in Big Sandy Tennessee to James and Aurora Westerman on January 1, 1947. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting, fishing, boating, and camping. For many years he volunteered as a coach and umpire for the New Britain Fagan Little League. He loved to collect antique clocks even if they didn’t work so he could work on them. He loved the challenge of fixing small motors snowblowers, and lawn mowers. Every holiday was celebrated with love and usually a milkshake for dessert that he prided in making. He loved his family deeply. He was always the first to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. Besides his wife Barbara of nearly 50 fifty years, he leaves to mourn his children, Daughters Rebecca Berarducci and husband David of New Britain, and Christine Westerman of Bristol, Sons Timothy Westerman and wife Candi of Moodus, and David Westerman of New Britain, Grandchildren Amanda Westerman, Rachel Cartagena (Carlos), Zachary Westerman (Aaliyah), Kayla O’Keefe (Jason), Richard Hoyt (Emma), Lindsay Hoyt, Adriana Brown, Damien Westerman (Kiana), Gabriel Westerman (Heather), Vincent Westerman, Timothy Westerman, Emma Diaz, Great-Grandchildren Jeremiah, Raelynn, and Colton. His sister and brother-in-law Diane and Pete Killius of Stewart TN, his brother and sister-in-law Clifford and Mary Westerman of Moodus. His kind, generous, and thoughtful brother Robert Muszynski and his husband Larry Tripaldi of Panama. Sister-in-law Linda Royce and husband Tom whom he shared many adventures with. Several Nieces and Nephews. Minnie his grand dog faithful and gave him love and comfort. In addition to his parents James and Aurora he was predeceased by his brothers Robert and Rayburn of Tennessee and sister Nina Mae Gray also of Tennessee. Private funeral services were held at Rose Hill Funeral Home on March 23, 2021. Pallbearers were: Amanda, Carlos, Ricky, Jason, Damien, and Zachary. A memorial service is planned for the future.
