Pamela Kay Vaillancourt
August 4, 1947 - June 5, 2018
Pamela Kay Vaillancourt, 70 of Wethersfield, passed away June 5th , 2018 at Hartford Hospital after a courageous battle with complex respiratory issues. Known to all as a fighter, she tenaciously accomplished everything she put her mind to, using the power of words as her strength. Born in Davenport, Iowa, she traveled widely as a member of a Sweet Adelines chorus. Moving to Connecticut in 1984, she was active in church projects involving youth education and music within the loving, supportive community of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Gardening and wildlife were other passions. Christmas was her favorite season: the music, the story of Christ, and celebration of life. She leaves husband Jerry and daughter Lindsey, of Wethersfield; father Arnold Pilkenton, sisters Paula Ketchum and Patti Grieve, and brother Daniel Pilkenton. We send you on your way - where you are free to run, free to dance, free to sing. Calling Hours will be Friday, June 8, from 5-8pm at Rose Hill Funeral Home, 580 Elm St., Rocky Hill. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, 11am, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 371 Wolcott Hill Rd, Wethersfield.
