Mr. Richard Gordon Sutter Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Richard G. Sutter, Electrician, gardener, fisherman and antique collector, passed away peacefully at home at the age of 76 on December 15, 2016; in East Hartford, CT. Richard was predeceased by his father Frank Henry Sutter, mother Clara Holbrook Sutter and sister Phyllis Sutter Albrecht. He is survived by two Aunts and several cousins. He was born in Hartford, CT in 1940 and was raised in East Hartford where he gained his love of gardening from his father. He left home to serve in the US Army as a Technician Fifth Class, where he was a mechanic for track vehicles and tanks in Berlin Germany from Jan 1961 to Dec 1963. Upon returning home he began his training to be an Electrician and work his full career as a Union Electrician in the IBEW. After retiring he dedicated himself to his Mother’s care and would spend his free time outdoors gardening, fishing and stopping along the way to find hidden treasures in New England.
