Robert Everett Eno

Robert Everett Eno, 90, of Wethersfield, loving husband for 66 years of Ruth (Kast) Eno, passed away Thursday (December 15, 2016) at Hebrew Home and Hospital in West Hartford. He was born in Hartford, the son of the late Everett and Esther (Lilley) Eno. Robert attended Bulkeley High School and the University of Connecticut. He was a member of the 43-44 UCONN Basketball team and the 47 & 48 UCONN Baseball teams, a life member and "Semi-Century Sig" of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. During WWII he served his country in the US Navy being honorably discharged in 1946. He was employed by the London and Lancashire Co. The New England Fire Insurance Rating Association and retired as Assistant Secretary of the Hartford Fire Insurance Co. during 1983. Robert was a 50+ year member of St. John's #4 A.F. & A.M. He received the Meritorious Service Award as a member of the Scottish Rite, Recorder Emeritus of Sphinx Shriners of Newington, Emeritus Member and past secretary of the Board of Governors of the Springfield, Shriners Hospital for Children. He was Past Impresario of the Royal Order of Jesters. He was a member of the Rocky Hill Congregational Church and past President of the Mountain Insurance Field Association. Besides his beloved wife, Robert leaves a daughter, Nancy R. Eno of Wethersfield and a granddaughter, Stacy Sikorski and her husband Nick of Granby. He was predeceased by a brother Everett C. Eno Jr. The Eno family wishes to thank all who were involved in Robert's care for their compassionate and professional services. Funeral services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
