Thomas "Ted" Anthony Jr. Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

It is of deep sadness that the family of Thomas "Ted" Anthony, 83, of Rocky Hill announces his passing on April 5, 2019. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife Jane (Quintiliano) Anthony and his cherished children Jeffrey Anthony, Karen Anthony, Susan Brousseau and Judi Judson. He also leaves 9 beloved grandchildren; Jessica (Brousseau) and her husband Edward Morello, Jaclyn, Jamie and Jenna Brousseau, Rachael and Kyle Judson, Samantha Anthony, and Tristan and Jordan Park. He was predeceased by his parents Ann and Thomas and his adored grandson Michael Anthony. Ted also leaves his brother Peter Anthony of South Windsor and brother in law and sister in law, Josephine and Alfred Quintiliano of Brunswick, Georgia. Ted was a very strong and proud man who persevered through his recent illness to the very end and he will be missed dearly. Above all, Ted was most devoted to his family and immensely enjoyed spending time with them and relishing in all the family events and milestones. He was a fun loving man, who was always the life of the party. He was a very caring and deeply religious man taking on religious ministries as head usher at St. James church. He was a member of the Central Connecticut Soccer Association and officiated high school soccer games for over 30 years. His love of the sport made him an excellent official which led to the many friendships with fellow referees. One of his proudest moments was being inducted into the Rocky Hill Hall of Fame in 2011 He was retired as an officer of Merrow Machine of Newington after working over 30 years. Ted’s retirement brought trips to the gym, “working out” and socializing with his buddies.He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all that knew him. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2019 at 10 AM in St. Josephine Bakhita Parish, at St. James Church, 767 Elm St. Rocky Hill. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill. Family and friends are invited to call at the Rose Hill Funeral Home on Wednesday April 10, 2019 from 4 to 7 PM.
