Vera Z. Karp

January 19, 1941 - June 20, 2018

Vera Z. Karp, 77, of Delray Beach Florida and formerly of West Hartford, Connecticut passed away on Wednesday, June 20, 2018. She was born in Hartford, Connecticut to the late George and Anna Zukov on January 19, 1941. She was the beloved wife of the late Gerald Karp. Prior to her retirement, Vera had a successful career in payroll management at both Covenant Insurance Company and the State of Connecticut Judicial Branch. She was an avid reader especially anything written by Danielle Steele or John Grisham. Vera and Jerry enjoyed traveling from the mountains to the beach or to take in an occasional Broadway show or island cruise. In her later years, Vera was drawn to the peacefulness and vibrancy of Delray Beach, Florida. Vera is survived by; nephews Mark and Jennifer Bottaro and David and Deborah Bottaro; stepdaughter Debbie and Robert Soucy; stepson Jeffrey and Heather Karp; cherished aunt Sophie Dubinsky; companion Constantino Iamonoco; along with a host of other family and friends. She was predeceased by her sister Alice Bottaro and husband Angelo Bottaro. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 29 beginning at 11 am at Rose Hill Cemetery, Elm Street, Rocky Hill, Connecticut followed by burial at same.
